What is Gifted and Talented?

“The term ‘gifted and talented,” when used with respect to students, children, or youth, means students, children, or youth who give evidence of high achievement capability in such areas as intellectual, creative, artistic, or leadership capacity, or in specific academic fields, and who need services or activities not ordinarily provided by the school in order to fully develop those capabilities.”

Course Details:

Group class, (1:4 Instructor to Student Ratio) | 16 classes – (2 hours) 

Classes are rolling admission July 2017 – January 2018*

  • CLASS A SATURDAY: 9:00AM-11:00AM
  • CLASS B SATURDAY: 11:00AM-1:00PM

  • Week 4: Analogies; NNAT®2 Practice
  • Week 5: Intro to Simple Subtraction Word Problems; OLSAT®
  • Week 6: Figure Classification; NNAT®2
  • Week 7: OLSAT® Assessment; Multi step number stories addition & subtraction
  • Week 8: NNAT®2Assessment; Pattern Sequences
  • Week 9: Listening and Solving Problems; OLSAT® Assessment
  • Week 10: NNAT®2 Assessment; Visual Spatial Reasoning
  • Week 11: OLSAT® Assessment; Listening and Following Directions
  • Week 12: NNAT®2 Assessment; Reasoning by Analogy
  • Week 13-16: More practice. Specific Selection determined by individualized plan
